With twenty years experience working as a clinical Occupational Therapist, I have worked in a range of settings including regional, remote and metropolitan. My experiences span acute, sub acute, rehabilitation and community settings. I have worked in roles providing occupational therapy services to the areas of trauma, orthopaedics, traumatic brain injury, general surgery, neuro rehabilitation, and general medicine.

As a result of my work history, I have specific skills in conducting task based functional assessments, cognitive assessments and devising rehabilitation programs tailored to meet an individuals needs. My work has also involved providing supervision to colleagues, direction to service agencies, as well as education within clinical departments through to presentations at international conferences.

I completed the University of Sydney, OT Driving Assessment and Retraining Course with Distinction in 2008, and am registered with the Roads and Traffic Authority of NSW to complete OT driving assessments. Following on from this, I completed the Heavy Vehicle Assessor training to hold qualifications to assess all licence classes.

In 2013, I took a break from working fulltime as an OT to undertake the transition to motherhood. Let's just say that it was and still is a mammoth undertaking and each day I continue to learn something new. (Toddlers have a way of teaching you about a whole new world and believe me when I say that a twin pram can teach you more about accessibility and environmental barriers than a lecture or the Australian Standards ever will!)

So as you can see, I have a diverse background spanning acute, rehabilitation and community based care, with special interest in trauma, neurodegerative conditions and rehabilitation. This, paired with my experience completing Occupational Therapy Driving Assessments and being a Mum seemed the perfect combination to provide a mobile consultancy aimed at keeping people independent and in their own homes.

In 2022 A-Z Clinical Solutions undertook the Audit Verification for the NDIS registration process and after review by QMS- successfully passed, so we are registered for a further 3 years.
